Chefslocker have spent years searching for a suitably skilled Blacksmith that would match the quality and ethos we're all about.
Introducing Jack...

Jack trained for six years before turning professional,  Jack achieved  a 1st in his artist blacksmithing BA (hons), before becoming one of a handful of smiths in the UK to receive a distinction at Masters level in Contemporary craft. There is nothing this guy does not know about metallurgy (the study of metals) and with years in the business i've never met an artisan with such a passion for detail.



​In this first Collaboration of it's kind we are very proud to showcase a small selection of Chef knives designed in partnership with Chefslocker.

All knives are made individually by Jack in the tradtional way at has his own forge in rural Hereford.

Together, we've decided initially on a versatile range of four styles that combine traditional Japanese styling with 21st Century know how and a very unique Bog Oak handle, sourced from the Fenlands in Norfolk carbon and carbon dated to over 5000 years old. The prized wood alone is costly and rare. Unique to the UK.

With 100 layers hollowed ground. Using British EN42 steel and 15N20 Nickel.  Hardened and tempered for versatility. With a hardness rating between 60 and 62 HRC these knives are something else and literally one of a kind!

Jack's latest creation is a stand out filleting / boning Knife. 100 layers of British EN42 steel and 15N20 Nickel, repeatedly hammered and folded, acid dipped to create a stunning finish.
