Paring Knife / Petty Knife / Utility Knife
Sometimes called a utility knife, the Petty is a smaller version of chefs knife but is bigger than a paring knife. The Petty fits in small places that require more dexterity than bigger chefs knives while handling bigger jobs than a paring knife can take care of.
The Petty will soon beome the go to knife in your kitchen. A razor sharp Petty knife can intricately carve and style vegetables and fruits for beautiful presentations and garnishes, performing just as well for bigger jobs such as preparing meals.
A Japanese steak knife is a hard thing to find. As you may be aware a traditional Japanese diet consists of mainly fish, chicken, rice and vegetables. Chopsticks and when needed a spoon are used but there is little need for super sharp steak knife when eating the world famous Wagyu Beef!
This uniquely Japanese styled steak knife is ultra sharp and probably not a shape you are familiar with. It may take a bit of getting used to, but when you do there will be no turning back!

Kanetsune is located at Seki City, the capital of the Orient and is known to be the City of Blades. The underground method in Japanese sword-making called “Seki-den” which started some 800 years back has been handed down to this present day.
