Culinary magic – the Flambadou is a heavy duty steel cone, with a slotted opening at the base, attached to a long handle.
This historic piece of outdoor cooking kit is intended to be heated until glowing red and then used to ignite and melt fat to drip seductively on to your barbecued food.
Sit the cone in the coals until it glows red. Carefully hold the hot flambadou over your food and add chunks of fat into the cone.
This will ignite and drip , to baste and flavour your food, whilst adding panache and drama to the meal.

Seki Kanetsugu Heptagon Wood VG2 Hammered Santoku - 170mm - Pakka Wood (heptagonal) Handle
Kanetsugu have been creating samurai swords for more than 170 years. The detailed hammer-forged pattern on the blade reflect classic bladesmithing techniques, whilst the black pakka wood, heptagonal handle has traditional charm.
The core of the blade is made out of high quality stainless steel called VG2 which is clad between the layers of SUS410, a stainless steel with low hardening characteristic helps to prevent the cracking of the metal. Together, they build one of the most durable and long-lasting blades. A Heat treating technique combined with sub-zero cooling at -70 degrees Celsius creates extremely durable, flexible, unbreakable blades with superior edge holding ability.

Seki Kanetsugu was founded more than a century ago in 1918 by Matsujiro Kawamura, the descendant of Kanetsugu the swordsmith, who first started making swords in the year 1345. For three generations, the Kawamuras have worked hard to build a knife workshop that is worthy of the Kanetsugu name. Combining Seki's knife making tradition and newer approaches such as "sub-zero process", Seki Kanatsugu has become a major knife maker in Japan. In 2018, Kanetsugu celebrated their centenary by launching the brand new “Zuiun” (瑞雲) series, with the finest Damascus steel that recreates the good omen Buddhism symbol of clouds.
