Petromax Spun Iron Pan (20cm)

£45.00 £25.00
View Details

Spun Iron (Wrought iron) is similar to cast iron in that it needs to be seasoned and cared for, and like cast iron it develops a fantastic non stick surface with use.

A wrought iron pan heats up faster than a cast iron pan, but also cools down faster. A big advantage of wrought iron is that it is lighter than cast iron. A protective layer forms on the unique surface structure after the first use. This patina, characteristic of wrought iron pans, further develops over time.

Excellent conductivity, reaching very high temperatures quickly, these light pans are perfect for Frying, Sautéing and braising

  • Upper edge: 7.9 in (20 cm)
  • Bottom diameter: 5.5 in (14 cm)
  • L x W x H (in cm): 11 x 20 x 40
  • Pre - seasoned
  • Ideal for Frying, Sautéing and braising
"Innovation, tradition und quality are both goal and motivation. They inspire the Petromax brand to always develop further and to introduce
innovative ideas in the fields of outdoor cuisine and camping life."

Netherton Foundry 7" Ridged Cooking Iron / Steak Press

£75.00 £65.00
View Details

2021 saw us look a bit closer to home for inspiration....

For over 30 years Netherton Foundry have been producing internationally acclaimed cast iron kitchenware from the birthplace of the industrial revolution. Using traditional methods and a keen eye for design Netherton's cookware is regularly featured in the national press and a firm favourite of top chefs including TV's Nigella Lawson and Nigel Slater.

A steak press is something I rarely cook without and this is one of the best I've used. The only way to quickly render fat from a steak and create perfectly crisp bacon!

Promoting even cooking and suitable for use on the BBQ or in the pan. Try pre- heating the press over an open flame to create attractive griddle lines on any ingredient or even have a go at your own paninis in the pan.

Can be used at extremely high temperatures, pre - seasoned, super heavy and unbelievably durable. After use, simply wipe and apply a small amount of veg oil (not olive oil) and this kit will last a lifetime.
